New experiences.

Do you want to see and experience more? Heiterwang and its surroundings offer a lot of sights and experiences that will become special memories. The Fischer am See is the only hotel that is located directly on a Lechweg loop on the Lechweg and directly on the lake. And thus the ideal starting point for a relaxed stop. We'll tell you what else there is to experience in the area ...

Highline 179.
A little thrill is allowed

The Highline 179 spans the famous Fernpass road at a height of around 115 meters over a length of 402 meters. A breathtaking view and a little tingling in the stomach are guaranteed when crossing. If you have a head for heights, you can get from the Ehrenberg ruins to Fort Claudia over the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Europe - the shortest and most exciting route.

Lechweg
in close proximity to the Hotel Fischer am See

With its 125 km length, the Lechweg stretches from the source to the Lech Falls. It runs right next to the Fischer am See - and makes our hotel a popular stop. The Lechweg leads past one of the largest ibex colonies in Europe to the Bavarian royal castles.

Via Claudia
"Europe's cultural axis"

The Roman Kaiserstraße, often known as “Europe's cultural axis”, has shaped regions, people and their cultures for 2000 years. Today you can follow this world-famous long-distance hiking route by bike or even by stagecoach.

Neuschwanstein Castle.
The fairytale castle

It is actually unnecessary to say a lot about Neuschwanstein. The fairytale castle is not even half an hour away from your hotel room at the Fischer am See. An excursion into Bavaria's royal past is therefore possible at any time.

Linderhof Palace
a fascinating building

Not quite as famous as Neuschwanstein Castle and no less magnificent: Linderhof Castle in Ettal, Bavaria, is a fascinating building from the time of Ludwig II, which was built between 1870 and 1886.

Zugspitze
The highest mountain in Germany

At 2,962 m, the highest mountain in Germany is right in our neighborhood. 20 kilometers from the hotel you can breathe pure mountain air and experience winter sports and more at its finest in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena. Vision and clarity - that's what makes a stay with us so unique.

Ehrenberg ruins
the remains of a hilltop castle

The Ehrenberg ruins are located in Reutte and are the remains of a hilltop castle at an altitude of 1100 m in the Ausserfern region of Tyrol. The castle ruins are the center of one of the most important fortress ensembles in Central Europe.

Musteralpe
Show dairy

Every summer the Musteralpe is farmed with around 40 dairy cows, young cattle, many goats and chickens and cute little rabbits. From the end of May to the middle of September, the milk is processed daily into cheese & butter in the new show dairy.

Langes mountain railways
Variety and experience

Variety and experience are very important here! This is a very special destination for hikers, bikers, summer tobogganers and fans of paragliding. But the trip to Langes is not only worthwhile in summer.

Reutte
the nature park region

Many call Reutte the gateway to Tyrol - and that's right, the nature park region with eleven villages is the epitome of healthy naturalness and exciting nature and cultural experiences at the foot of the high mountains.

Golf course
Zugspitz Arena

Few sports have such a calming effect as playing golf. It's good that you don't have far to go to a very special golf course from the Fischer am See.

Tuftlalm viewing platform.
at 1486 m

In nearby Lermoos there is a great view of parts of Lermoos, the Lermooser Moos, Biberwier and Ehrwald at 1486 m. With a view of the Wettersteingebirge, the Mieminger chain, the Lechtal and Ammergau Alps, the panorama leaves a lasting impression.

Mountain fire
Zugspitz Arena

The mountain fires for the summer solstice take place every year on the third Saturday in June - if the weather permits. Find out about the exact date in the link below. Fascinating fire motifs are lit to celebrate the longest day of the year.
